  • LIFE AND ADVENTURES of "NED BUNTLINE"

    Fred E. Pond

eBook (Cadmus Book Shop, June 5, 2013)
Ned Buntline is the "nom de plume" or pen name of Edward Z. C. Judson, a prolific writer of the old "dime store novels" of days past. Many of his adventure novels dealt with the wild west and the sea, both of which he experienced in his youth. A great deal of what is popularly known of Bill Hickok, Buffalo Bill Cody and many other larger than life characters of the old west came to us through the writings of Ned Buntline. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Seminole War and in the U. S. Army in the civil war. He was an avid adventurer, scout and explorer; as well as a consummate hunter and angler. This is a well written biography of this most interesting man, by one of his closest friends.
